Christina's Family


The Ludema family lives in Geneva, IL, a suburb on the west side of Chicago.  Jim teaches in the organizational development PhD program at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. He loves teaching there and also keeps busy doing consulting work.  Beverlee is pursuing a graduate degree in Psychology and was recently accepted to the Psy.D program at Wheaton.  She is also a youth elder and youth group leader at Fox Valley Presbyterian Church.

Michael is 18 and will be attending Calvin College in the fall (though his girlfriend will be going to Hope).  He is currently interested in film studies.

Nicole is 13 and will graduate from middle school in May.  She loves to dance, go horseback riding, sing, and hang out with friends. 


Sam's Family


Jim and Kathy Boldenow met while attending Calvin College. After they were married, they moved to El Paso, Texas and later to Middlesboro, Kentucky. While working for Christian Reformed World Relief in Kentucky, the Boldenows had their first two children, Emily and Peter. In 1980, the family moved to San Jose, Costa Rica where Jim continued to work for CRWRC. Their third child, Sam, was born in 1982 in Costa Rica. In 1989, the Boldenows moved to Miami, Florida.

Jim is now working for Unisys Corporation helping the TSA with information technology in the Miami International Airport. Kathy works at Westminster Christian School as the elementary computer teacher.

Emily married her husband Steve in 2004. They live in the Denver area where Steve teaches Spanish at Denver Christian and Emily works for Head Start.

Peter married his wife Tanya in 2000. Peter is working on his PhD in epidemiology at the University of Michigan. Tanya is attending Wayne State Medical School.
